Surprise!

Small surprise the othe morning (3/26/11).  We were just driving in the driveway after picking up Carter and Chase.  As we got closer we noticed something move in Buttercup's pen.  Clint and I got out of the truck to get closer and see what in the heck it was.  My initial thought was a wild animal but when we got up to the edge of the pen we realized it was a mini Buttercup, just born, with afterbirth still attached.  None of us knew she was pregnant!  She must have been bred just before we got her because between cousin Sterling and us we have had her all of 11 months (the length of a horses gestation).  So now we have a filly.  She is doing really good and is so, so cute.
