Project #2...

My second wood working project is almost complete! I am having so much fun! These are dual purpose cedar planters. Dual purpose because instead of a railing across the front of our porch I made these to be a snug fit between the porch railings. Hopefully no toddlers will go toddling off the edge of the porch now. The other purpose is obviously to be a planter with pretty flowers. They still need the dirt and plants as you can see. They smell great (being cedar and all), are naturally insect repellant, and they were dirt cheap to make since cedar picket fence posts are on sale for $1.47 right now at Home Depot.
